The U.S. Maritime Administration in conjunction with the U.S.
Transportation Department will broadcast its annual National Maritime
Day ceremony in Washington, DC, on Friday, May 22, beginning at 10:30
a.m.
This year’s event will feature addresses by U.S. Transportation
Secretary Elaine Chao, U.S. Maritime Administrator Mark Buzby and U.S.
Transportation Command Commander General Stephen Lyons. In addition,
retired merchant mariner David Yoho will provide a special message.
The theme is this year’s ceremony is “Resilient Sealift for a
