CWA Members Ratify 4-Year AT&T Contracts

blog-stock-new

Members of the MTD-affiliated Communications Workers of America (CWA) ratified new contracts with AT&T Southeast, AT&T Utility Operations and BellSouth Billing that covers 28,000 workers across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

CWA reports the new pacts will provide wage increases, pension safeguards and job security improvements as well as other gains that will benefit the members and their families.

Meanwhile, CWA and the MTD-affiliated International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers continue to fight for a new contract for workers at Verizon. That pact expired August 1, but the members located in New England and the Mid-Atlantic states have remained on the job. Approximately 39,000 workers are affected.
