The MTD Quadrennial Convention will take place October 19-20 at the Marriott Grand, 800 Washington Avenue, St. Louis, MO. With a theme of Maritime – Gateway to the World, the convention will feature speakers from Capitol Hill, the military, local elected officials, Labor and the maritime industry.
The convention will convene both days at 9:30 am (CDT) in the Gateway A-B Ballroom at the Marriott Grand. The MTD convention office will be the hotel’s Flora room, and will open for business on Tuesday, Oct. 17. A brief meeting for the MTD Executive Board as well as one for the MTD Port Maritime Councils will take place on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 18.
Attendees to the MTD Convention may make their hotel reservations through the AFL-CIO Convention site – www.aflcio2017.org – and click on “Housing Information.” While the MTD will be at the Marriott Grand, there are several other nearby hotels that are available through the AFL-CIO Convention site.
Delegate credentials were sent to all affiliates and port councils in July. Completed forms should be returned to the MTD office no later than Friday, September 22.
