AFSCME’s Paul Booth Passes Away at 74

blog-stock-new

The MTD mourns the passing of longtime Labor activist, Paul Booth, on January 17.

For more than 50 years, Booth worked to improve the lives of workers at the local, national and international level. He retired last year as the executive assistant to the president of AFSCME, an MTD affiliate.

Booth also dedicated a great deal of his efforts to preparing the next generation of trade unionists. He was an organizer, agitator and tactician who could relate just as easily with a rank-and-file member as with a White House official. He was 74 years old.
